From Token to Presale: Quick IDO Setup on PandaTool

If you’ve launched a token and found there’s no money flowing, or you want a presale website but don’t know how to build it — all those headaches are real. IDO stands for “Initial DEX Offering.” It’s a token issuance method conducted on a decentralized exchange (DEX). In short: before a token lists for open trading, the project runs a presale to raise funds.

After creating a token the project needs liquidity (a pool) so trading can occur. That requires capital — and that capital often comes from a public presale. The project sells a portion of tokens at a lower price to raise funds, then uses the proceeds to provide liquidity, promote the token, and cover initial expenses.

Why would users join an IDO? Mainly to buy tokens early at a lower price and (if the market cooperates) sell later at a higher price to pocket the spread.

IDO and Mint-style presales work very differently:

• Participation: IDO is done through a website presale; Mint is done by sending a wallet transfer.

• Referral rewards: IDO supports hierarchical referral rewards; Mint generally doesn’t.

• Presentation: IDOs offer a polished landing page and marketing copy; Mint is just a transfer.

• Wallet approvals: IDO usually requires wallet connection and a token/contract approval flow; Mint only needs a transfer.

In short, IDO needs users to log in to the site, connect a wallet and authorize participation. Mint only needs a transfer. IDO pages are better for marketing.

2. How to create an IDO

Before creating an IDO you must already have a deployed token and its contract address — otherwise you cannot proceed. Steps to create an IDO:

2. Set IDO time, price and other parameters.

3. Confirm via wallet to create the IDO.

4. Go to the IDO console and deposit tokens into the IDO contract.

5. Edit IDO page content and parameters if needed.

Detailed walkthrough

Step 1 — Open the IDO creation page
Open the IDO creation tool at: https://pandatool.org/#/ido/createido?lang=en-US and click “Connect Wallet” in the top-right. A MetaMask or OKX wallet popup will appear — connect it. If you’ve used PandaTool before to create a token, this will be familiar.

Step 2 — Set IDO info
Fill in the required fields. Key fields explained:

• IDO name: any display name (supports Chinese, English, mixed).

• Token contract address: you must have already created the token. Double-check the contract address — if it’s wrong you can’t create the IDO. Click “Query” after pasting it.

• Payment token: which token users pay with in the presale. On the Binance Smart Chain this supports BNB and USDT.

• Start / End time: use your computer’s clock as reference.

• Price: e.g. 1 USDT = 1 Token or 1 USDT = 1000 Token.

• Collection wallet: where collected BNB/USDT will be sent.

• Min / Max purchase amounts: per-transaction lower and upper limits.

• Referral reward settings: supports up to three referral tiers; you can set each tier’s percentage separately.

• Token distribution mode: immediate or post-IDO claim.

  • Immediate: tokens are transferred to buyers right after payment.

  • Post-IDO claim: buyers claim tokens manually after the sale ends.

• Referral precondition: referrers must have participated in the IDO themselves to have a valid referral link. Addresses with no participation record cannot generate effective referral links.

Step 3 — Wallet confirmation & create IDO

After filling in everything, click “Create IDO.” Your wallet will prompt for confirmation. After success, you’ll be guided to the IDO console.

Step 4 — Deposit tokens & start presale

Creating the IDO doesn’t start the sale by itself — the sale contract needs tokens. In the console, deposit the number of tokens you want to allocate for the IDO (decide this based on your tokenomics). Confirm the deposit in your wallet.

After deposit succeeds you’ll see the amount inside the contract on the console. Now the presale is ready. The console provides an entry link to the public IDO page. On the IDO page, buyers connect wallets and enter purchase amounts. After a buyer pays, the wallet confirm completes the purchase.

If you want to invite friends or referrals: after you purchase, copy your referral link and share. When someone uses your referral to buy and they’ve properly connected and participated, you’ll receive referral rewards (paid in USDT/BNB and credited in real time).

You may wonder: can base info like collection wallet, price or times be changed? Yes — go back to the console to edit.

Step 5 — Edit IDO info
The IDO console has three main sections: Global Control, IDO Parameter Control, and Page Content Control.

• Global Control

  • Deposit tokens: as above, deposit into the IDO contract.

  • Update collection address: change where collected funds are sent.

  • Withdraw tokens: if presale ended but tokens remain in contract, you can withdraw them.

• IDO Parameter Control

  • Change start/end time.

  • Adjust per-wallet min/max purchase limits.

  • Adjust referral reward ratios per tier.

  • Change the sale price.

• Page Content Control

  • Modify website visuals and copy. Wallet confirmation is needed for changes.

  • Logo: upload an image or input an image URL; you can revert to default.

  • Background image: you can change it but choose carefully (dark backgrounds recommended); revert if it looks off.

• Fixed fee: 0.1 BNB to create an IDO.

Q3: Can the IDO site domain be changed?
